Rob and James, have undertaken one of the most epic trips ever attempted by man have a lot to talk about! Having seen the entire length of the world and overcome numerous obstacles along the way, the tale of their experiences cannot fail to captivate and motivate a variety of audiences....

At 4:14am on Thursday 24th April 2008, James Hooper and Rob Gauntlett sailed through the Magnetic South Pole, completing a pole to pole expedition after 1 year and 16 days of travelling using only human and natural power.

The 22,000 mile journey had never been achieved before and the adventure has seen them cover three continents taking them through a range of climates from +50˚to -50˚. The boys have skied, sailed, and cycled to achieve three core goals; to break an exploring record, to raise money for charity, and most importantly to highlight the hugely topical negative effect of carbon emissions on our environment.

The journey has been the first of its kind, not only due to its route but also because it has been fully interactive. James and Rob have regularly updated a website with their progress and in doing this have used this tool to educate people all over the world about the challenge of global warming and climate change. The website was particuarly aimed at children to inspire and encourage them, as the next generation, to be particularly aware of climate change.

Rob and James met at Christ`s Hospital School in West Sussex. Over the seven years they were at school together their friendship developed based on a shared sense of adventure and a desire to make a difference.

In May 2006, Rob and James became the youngest ever westerners to scale Mount Everest having just turned 19. The two explorers then caught the eye of Adidas who signed them up to be a part of their award winning impossible is nothing campaign in 2007. This campaign saw them star alongside David Beckham and Sachin Tendulkar, and was premiered to tie in with Rob and James` most recent adventure, Pole to Pole.

The pair offer a young fresh approach to corporate speaking, their delivery is mature and articulate beyond their years yet their youthful exuberance and sense of humour is ever present. With their relaxed, bright and informative style, Rob and James engage their audience right from the outset, articulating their inspiration, sharing their insights into the highs and lows of their adventures and the incredible adversities they faced along the way.
